This humidifier works very well. We use it in a bedroom and it is very effective; we can also use it in our larger living space to supplement the humidifier there, when conditions are drier.
It is very easy to use, is extremely quiet (really don't hear it), and can sit on the floor or a desk/table. Great price, too!
Hats off to PureGuardian. We also own a 2-gallon humidifier of theirs (which we found being discarded by a neighbor) that works perfectly. We wouldn't have known of this brand otherwise, as it never came up in our online searches.
BTW no need for warm mist, in our opinion; we don't want to take any risks with elements that heat up, and we see no need for it.

Short lifespan. Broke after normal use.
UPDATE: PureGuardian replaced free of charge and it wasn’t a hassle. New humidifier has been working well.UPDATE: It broke already! The button completely broke off after normal pressing of it.——-I had been struggling with mold build up with my Crane teardrop humidifier despite cleaning it regularly, and the Crane was a pain to clean because of the design. I decided to try this because of the silver clean technology, and I have found that it does indeed help prevent mold build up. It is also much easier to clean than the Crane. I use tap water in the tank. I do preventative cleaning monthly by shaking a few tablespoons of white vinegar into the tank and letting it soak for about an hour, then using the little brush supplied to clean around the base. So far, no mold! I have been using this in my bedroom daily with no operating issues.
