    When I received the laptop it came with a charger that seemed to be from a third party. The chargers quality was very cheap, flimsy, and seemed like it would break at any moment. Next, booting up the laptop, it seemed fine. At first. Upon further inspection, the screen had a dead pixel. If there was a replacement offered, no biggie. Maybe it was just a lemon. But Customer service insisted that they could not do anything and that a replacement would not be possible. As a student, this thin and light laptop like this seems perfect, additionally, I bought it when it was on sale, not the 1000 dollar price point. However with customer service being next to useless, as well as the replacement policy, I would look elsewhere.After the useless contact with amazon's customer support, I reached out to LG's Customer support and apparently the charger is not even the right charger that it is supposed to come with.

      UPDATE: Although I like this laptop a lot, the battery life is disappointing. I am tempted to downgrade to 4 stars, but I am holding off for now.

      Compact and speedy office PC. However it's let down by a few things:
      - Light, but also cheap feeling
      - The floppy hinge bounces around with every little movement to a table or when typing
      - The speakers are the worst laptop speakers I have ever heard.
      - Laptop doesn't come with a type C charger
      - There is no Fn lock option to allow for 1 tap access to volume or brightness controls
      - Can get a little toasty under load/when charging

      I have LG TV's, kitchen appliances, etc., very happy with all of them so was completely disappointed when the screen on this little laptop cracked the second time it was opened. It's a total mess. I tried to return within days of purchasing and was told there were no returns, I would have to have it serviced by LG after returning to the factory for a fee of $500. The screen crack was apparently not covered by the warranty, I was told it was my fault even though I have never cracked a computer screen before. I think it is a design flaw, when computer is shut there is pressure or tension put on the screen and thus it cracked. This computer is definitely not worth the cost plus the replacement screen part is out of stock with no restocking date at this time. I had to buy a whole new computer as the cheapest option so I purchased a basic, no-frills ASUS & no cracked screen!

      Seems like I got one with a bad battery. Other people had mentioned it was very good but mine only lasts a couple of hours.

      The machine itself runs well and quickly. I'm not terribly adept but haven't noticed any bloatware hogging the CPU. I've played some pc games on it and it runs well, though it does get hot.

      The system has this persistent beep that doesn't shut off no matter what I do. It's very annoying. All system sounds are shut off and yet the system beeps literally every few seconds! I had tuned it out for a while but now I'm recording audiobooks and my mic picks up the beep. It's forcing me to rerecord huge sections of my latest audiobook. Pretty much a deal breaker for the work that I'm doing. But any normal person would find a persistent beep annoying.

      UPDATE A YEAR LATER
      3rd party power supply died. Of course at the worst possible time when I'm in the middle of work.
